Montana License Education Requirements

The Board of Realty Regulation continuing education licensing year runs from: Nov. 1st - Oct. 31st
Real Estate Salesperson
12 hours of approved continuing education.
Real Estate Broker
12 hours of approved continuing education.
Real Estate Supervising Broker
12 hours of approved continuing education. As part of the hours, supervising brokers must take the 4-hour “Supervisory Broker” class.
Real Estate Property Manager
12 hours of approved continuing education.
New “Rookie” Real Estate Property Manager
12 hours of continuing education, by the 2nd renewal date however, 4 hours of trust accounts must be completed by the 1st renewal date.
New “Rookie” Real Estate Salesperson
12 hour “Rookie” course required by the 1st renewal date. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer this course. It is also not available online.
Dual Licensees (Sales/Broker and Property Manager Licenses)
12 hours of approved continuing education. (Education will count towards both licenses).
